New Wizard of Oz, Bobbs Merrilll, Second edition, 1st state
Publisher: Bobbs Merrill. 2nd edition, 1st state. One of the rarest book to find. According to "to please a child" book, there only 10,000 copies printed in 1903 of 2nd edition, 1st state. Main point of the 1st state is word "NEW" on the front cover. This book is complete with all 16 color plates as required. In Bibliographia Oziana, ( 2002 copy) on page 28, last sentence of the textual points indicates that "One copy, probably a binder's error has been seen with blank endpapers". This copy is also with blank endpapers. My assumption is originally a few first copies were made with blank end papers and later on illustrated end papers were added that can be found in 2nd state and later 3rd editions by Donohue. Condition: Very Good.
